Location: Bar de playa, 5:49PM

SO. officially been here in Spain for 2 days, and I have nothing but good stuff to say about it! I love it here! The city is beautiful, and there's so much to do here. It kind of reminds me of a Spanish version of Chicago. Everything is smaller, and more compact... the streets are TINY and cars basically run you over. I really wish though, that the city's streets were in a grid system cause there are seriously random streets going in random directions, and I've gotten lost trying to find my way around twice! Haha, I am finally getting the hang of it though, so it should be okay.. OH, the SHOPPING IS GREAT. There are seriously stores EVERYWHERE with everything I want to buy. I could literally spend thousands of dollars here solely by shopping. I bought myself a sexy new leather jacket. :D Night life? Let's just say nobody goes out and nothing opens 'til AT LEAST 1am. I got home from going out last night at about 5am.. oh yes. It is 10 euros to get into a club though, but it's totally worth it! You get two free "copas" which are just drinks... let's see what else. The university is beautiful, and I am actually excited to start school, and meet MORE people! I have a placement exam Monday, and I start my intensive language course on Tuesday. My actual classes don't start until the 2nd week in February. OH, OH, OH, they sell beer at the local BURGER KING. Around 11:30 we met up with other students, and we literally pregamed at the Burger King. The beer was "GIGANTE" and costs 2,55 euros.

The weather is GREAT. I mean, the locals think it's cold, but seriously... compared to Chicago, it's summer.. haha! It's about in the 50s but at  night gets cold to about 20s I'd say, but still NOTHING compared to winter in Chitownnn.

My senora, by the way is the coolest lady ever. Haha, she only speaks Spanish but knows a FEW words in English, and that's it. She's so funny, and has the greatest stories about past students and life. I live with three other girls.

The food, is PHENOMENAL. I do have to find a gym to work at though, or go running around the city! HAHA. It's delicious, and I love having three homemade meals a day. We eat breakfast which is generally just a "cafe" (coffee) and toast, or a cookie or two to eat with the coffee. Then everything in the city basically shuts down, closes, and everyone goes home around 2PM for the biggest meal of the day; lunch. It's also the most important because it's generally the one time everyone, and all families get together to eat. Around 4 or 5 everything opens up again and the city is back to life. Dinner is usually around 10pm, which is definitely what I am not used to. But also, it's much lighter than lunch.

There's so much to say, and thinking of it all is crazy... but let me tell you, I will soon start talking with a Spanish accent and I will forget how to speak English. I just might stay here forever..
