Well hey there again. Once again, it's been about another week since my last blog post. During the week the same stuff happens that there's nothing really all that exciting to note about. Haha! Well as usual, the week consisted of going to class from 4-8 (totally don't like it by the way..) Friday morning I actual went on a tour with a couple other people from our study abroad program of the Albayzín. It's a town that is up in the mountains of Granada. It is such a gorgeous place. The walk was rigorous because it was all up hill, but the views and the things we got to see were just great. You can find all the pictures that I took when walking up and down here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=1146720008&aid=2086464. The houses are so different, and when I was walking around up there, I felt a little bit like I was on an island in Greece. From the Albayzín there was a beautiful view of the Alhambra.
Friday night we went to the botellon again, and the night wasn't very exciting at first, but then Lisa and I got picked up by our friends Uhmer and Mario on their mopeds. We went to Uhmer's restaurant, London Fast Food, and hung out with Kuki, Mario, Uhmer, Juanmiya, Andrea and all of them. They're so fun haha! After hanging out with them there for a little bit, Kuki and Mario took me and Lisa up in the mountains and we saw the whole city of Granada up high, at night. It was absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had my camera, but I forgot it and had to soak it all in. After that, we went up to the Alhambra. At night! It was so pretty... and the view of the city from the Alhambra was also so pretty. After that, they took us to this garden close near by the Alhambra, and there was green everywhere. BEAUTIFUL! There was a fountain, and a little waterfall. I can't even describe it correctly, but I am so glad I got to experience that, at night on mopeds! Haha, talk about soaking it all in. I'd say it was by far the best night here so far.
Last night we met up with Stefan, a boy from my class. We went to a bar called Babylon first, then headed a street over to a hookah bar. It was so nice inside. So chill, and the ambiance of the place was just what I was looking far. We sat for a couple hours, chatted it up, smoked some hookah and had a coffee. After that, Stefan went home, and Lisa, Lindsay and I met up with our buddied at London fast Food again. There was all of them, and all THEIR friends. Also, there was this one girl that ended coming with a couple of her friends, and she was SO drunk, SO gone, she couldn't walk by herself, she was falling all over the place, and just causing a scene. After awhile of hanging out there, we headed over to Kapital. The night club looked completely different than from what I can remember... It was a lot of fun. I didn't think I was in the mood to go dancing, but as soon as the music hit me, I was non stop dancing for like 4 hours. We all danced together, got some free drinks and I really enjoyed myself. Those guys are seriously so much fun, and Lisa and I were just talking about the fact that we're so glad we found a group of nice friends from here.
Tonight... tonight is the Bears game. Everyone from our study abroad program, and others will be meeting at a pub called Hannigan's and Sons for the game, some drinks and some food. It should be a good time. It's gonna get rowdy!! I'll get into detail about that sometime this coming week.
OH DID I MENTION IT SNOWED HERE. Yes, it snowed in Espana. It wasn't a lot, and it didn't accumulate... but it was snowing and the Spaniards use umbrellas. I wonder what they would do if they were in Chicago. Haha!!
Well ttfn, hasta pronto!
